The specialty is the preparation of electrical engineers for calculation, design and operation of electrical equipment. Graduates can plan the loads and power consumption, manage the electrical equipment of a power plant (substation), regulate the operation of automatic control systems of power plants, maintain power plants and electrical equipment of power stations (substations) of district electric networks.
Graduates work at enterprises and organizations of different forms of ownership associated with the production, transmission, distribution and consumption of electric energy, in science institutions. They hold the positions of chief power engineer, deputy chief power engineer at the enterprises, specialist in energy management and energy audit, specialist in of modern energy-saving technologies, design engineer in design organizations.
