Excursion to Yuzhkabel factory and Molniya Research and Design Institute students of the Department of Electric Power Engineering

Students of 1-2 courses in October 2018 visited the factory "Yuzhkabel", which is the largest in Ukraine for the production of cable and wire products. Future energy companies got acquainted with the electrotechnical equipment of the company. Students of the Department of Electrical Power Engineering of the SSU also visited the NDPKI "Molnya", the largest research and testing center specializing in high voltage engineering, electromagnetic compatibility and stability, and the development of broad-spectrum electromagnetic technologies based on superpower pulsed electric and magnetic fields. Of particular importance in the work of the Institute are issues related to the study of the formation of electromagnetic pulses of natural and artificial origin and their impressive environmental effects, primarily on the technical means of strategically important objects of Ukraine, in particular, objects of rocket and space, aviation engineering, and lightning protection of technical means used in such power plants of Ukraine as nuclear power plants.
